This course covers foundation Linux system. It will introduce students to open source software ( OSS), which many companies and organizations leverage to cut down development time, reduce costs, promote security and stability, and so forth. Students will learn open source development tools; open source programming languages, such as Python; open source software development processes; open source software licensing issues. Upon completing this course, the students will be familiar with installing, configuring and maintaining Linux system and get acquainted with common OSS, and experience development well as its related challenges.
