About ASD 262 -Emerging Applications and Languages

This course covers a free and open-source front-end JavaScript library for building user interfaces based on UI components. React developed by and still maintained by Facebook and supported by an active open source community is a JS ‘library’. The student will learn to build and render UI components and support both front-end and server-side. React Native is a framework for building native applications using JavaScript. React Native compiles native app components, making it possible to build native mobile applications. React is the base abstraction of React DOM for the web platform, while with React Native, React is still the base abstraction of React Native. The syntax and workflow remain similar, but the components are different. Upon completing this course, the students will master the React and React Native skills that are uniquely popular in front web development community.

Prerequisites
